Need advice on the fork springs that I had removed and
I have to put back in the tubes, they have tighter wound coils on one end, does the tighter coil ends go top or bottom on install?

Tight wound coils go up. If you put them down, they sit in the oil and displace more of it, raising the level.

And the tighter coils down will also increase the unsprung weight a bit, which is not desirable.
(A similar situation is with valve springs, where the tighter windings should face down. Basically, the tighter windings of any progressively wound spring should be at the non-moving end)
