'68 BSA Victor Build..... Bloody 'ell mate... You 'effin daft or sommat?!?

You would think so, Raymond, wouldn't you? I've checked all of my sources for the last 2yrs... Feked, Draganfly et al. A few, such as Draganfly list 'em, but they've never actually been in stock.... never mind the cost.
I think "long term out of stock" is a polite British way of saying... "sorry dude, you're screwed." :wink2:

Yep got that excuse Jim.
The other one is 'On Backorder'
Never trust that as they expect you to place the order and pay with no idea of delivery times.

I had a dispute with a seller where he ordered a new metal cutting blade for a metal circular saw and paid to have it shipped to Paraguay. I shipped it off and after a few weeks I got a notice that the package was undeliverable due to that blade being on the prohibited items list. I eventually got the item back at which time I refunded the purchase price. The seller then filed a claim against me wanting his postage back($36 IIRC) I told EBay that I had refunded his money and was not responsible for his postage since he didn’t do his due diligence as to what he could receive in the mail. eBay agreed with me and closed the case. Sometimes it does work in the sellers favor but maybe because I wasn’t running a scam.

Out in the sunlight. Looks good from 10 feet.

Half a roller?

3K on the clock my ass.... the guts of these forks were full of scars from ham fisted mechanics. No matter, all of it cleaned up.
New seals, new bushes and all back together. A minor glitch... a brain glitch. I can't for the life of me find the drain screws. I set 'em on the bench when I took everything down for scrubbing... and now they're MIA. I really wanted to put some oil in these to leak check 'em before installation. Oh well... On order now.

Need to clean up the brake plate and I'll be halfway to a roller.

Stop that!

Like everything else on this bike, the front brakes were in a pretty sad state.

56yrs of dirt, grime, mud daubers and spiders. The chrome is bad on the brake actuator arm. Lots of corrosion on the plate and a piece of it cracked and broke off. For that I took a rotary file on a die grinder and cleaned up the rough edges and tried to make it kinda sota look like it's supposed to be that way. It's on the bottom when installed, so it won't really be noticeable anyway.

The shoe linings still have plenty of life left in 'em. I tried twisting the rivets and they're still nice and tight so I cleaned all the gunk off and bead blasted 'em. All the hardware on the plate got blasted and re-plated, even the springs. I know... pretty OCD, right? :cautious:

The outside of the plate was corrosion city, so it took several rounds of sanding, filing and polishing. Glad that's behind me now.

The actuating lever isn't up to par, but it's functional. Everywhere I look says out of stock or NLA... So I'll most likely have to send it out for chrome.
