72 Cylinder

Kinda thinking it had to do with machining order, the holes were bored out after the liner is installed, wouldn't want the machine tool mashing into that iron liner.
Does the cylinder in your pic have a notch in both liners?

Previously there's been some threads about what to do if the liner doesn't flush up with the cylinder deck when installed.

Dunno. Other side was out of focus... I cropped it out. Thinkin' about it, I do recall seeing it on both sides.
