'72 Yamaha XS650 (TX) cafe racer with nice original paint RD400 gas tank. loud, quick, handles perfectly, needs nothing. turns heads everywhere. on road now.
i'm located south of Ithaca, NY. NY does not issue Titles for bikes older than '73, so this one has a clean transferable registration- in my name in hand. will drive a hundred miles or so out to meet a buyer, with logistics TBD...
Approx 19K on motor, starts first kick, complete frame up mods. this is an early motor with higher lift cam and longer stroke, 34mm Mikuni VM carbs with custom TIG welded aluminum intakes, totally custom fabbed dual exhaust, exhaust porting, PMA alternator kick only with 10,000uF capacitor/no battery, rewired from scratch with new reg/rec Andrews high output coil and irridium plugs, fork rebuild, clutch rebuild with 7/6 plates and socket screw mod, custom foot controls, clip-ons, stainless front brake line and rebuilt caliper, excellent chrome shouldered wheels and good tires, etc... this is the real deal, not some wanna-be bike with just paint and clubmans.
$2995 cash. doesn't begin to cover the 175 hours of labor... i need to sell a build from time to time to bring in a few bucks. always more in the pipeline...
