Hello again.
Does anyone here have or can point me to any pictures of the Speedometer/Tacho rubber components?
A sort of stripped down affair.
Clocks cushion & smart bracket etc.
So I can see what I'm up against while trying to fabricate parts to replace those no longer available.
This would be of great assistance.

Scroll down to post #4 for 74/75 gauges.

They can b dismantled, ( prise off bezel), using the same system as in post #1. Where 74/75 gauge housings are steel not plastic as later 76-84 housings

Rubber solutions and suppliers at the bottom of post. Can still buy the bezel covers and internal dampers, (they are from RD models.
A rubber company that sells rubber seals and such for cars would have something a damper could b made from. I found some when I made my replacement 76-83 gauge cup damper. ( Bottom of post #2), Couldn't buy in Aus worked out real cheep

Put the damper part #'s is a search engine, might get lucky

Hope that helps

Edit; the last link at the bottom of post #4 is the same rubber damper in the first link at bottom of post #4.
Was bought and fitted to his 74/75 gauge and he was happy, for RD models.

The face plate doesn't work for the XS650. The RD's dimensions between the idiot lights differ

I got a pair of the top rubber covers from CMSL. I have now ordered a pair of the Rd350B lower cushions from Yambits £50 the pair (ouch!) so I hope they fit of can be made to do so. But I do like my bikes to be as near correct as possible.
Yhank you.

Hello Ken.
Unfortunately I had nothing to work with.
All the original rubber bits were missing.
Hence my request for pictures of what I needed.
Anyways. I have now sourced all the rubber bits, Yamaha top cushions & pattern lower,s for an Rd350b. Which required 5mm trimming off the under side to allow the thread's to reach through the lower covers.
Job now done & looking good.
Thank you all for your valued input.
