Ok ,so for the last couple years I have been building a 1978 xs650 hardtail and keeping y'all posted as I have had many questions.while some of you know I am currently getting ready to install the 80cc big bore kit. I have previously done a bunch of work to include changing the clutch plates and springs. I'm not sure with but but it was probably just stock stuff that I ordered from TC bros. Anyways I was having a problem and after just recently taking the bike out I noticed it immediately,so I'm hoping many will chime in with there thoughts.so you know I have looked it up and I have read a lot on the subject from other that have posted on the Internet. I will tell you that in many ways I am not that bright and sometimes need to be lead right to the solution or product. So here it is. Occasionally when Im pulling away in first or letting out the clutch rather I noticed the bike doesn't move or it will make a grinding or dragging sound .....maybe? And then kinda slam into first. Honestly I may have made it sound worse that it is but it isn't normal. Most of what I hear people talk about is a slipping clutch and adding an 8th plate and stiffer springs. I don't think that is my problem.has anyone experienced anything like this? I don't think I replaced my metals but I probably would have measured them or checked them in some way so that I at least could reasonably assume they were good.
