Accidently blocked upper engine breather. Oil coming out now. Boy did I do it this time... Ideas to chemically restore seals?

Hello all. I have an 80 xs special with 2,200 miles. Plugged the breather at top rear of engine. Please do not ask why... Rode 20 Miles and now I have some oil dripping from most seals. Did not run it since is there a seal reconditioner I can use or do I need to replace all the seals? Never split an engine before so I am sure I would wreck things. Signed. Major DA.

First thing I'd do is unplug the breather, clean up all the oil leaks and run the bike another 20 miles.
Yeah, very good chance you ruined some seals, however, there's also a good chance they're still OK with the breather working properly.
Ya got nuttin to lose at this point.... give it a shot.

Thank you for the reply S. My Dad said, "Son, you are either going to be good at working on cars or good in sports. You better stick to sports!"
Laughing...

Regarding the breather and oil leaks.
Some of us that are using Unipods instead of the stock air boxes will take a length of the breather hose and add a Dorman power brake booster valve and direct the smaller end of the valve over the unipod to catch any oil drips. Dual output breather? Two Dormans. Single output breather? One Dorman.
Results have been shown that adding the valve will stop some oil seepage due to the strange, mystical powers of physics.
Hook the hose back up to the breather(s), add the valve(s), suspend it over the air filter(s)........ "Viola" as me wife would say.
Might cure your ill.
