I live in SF, so by the Bay, the humidity inside ~ 50%. I have not had issues with PLA that needed drying. TPU and, after some exposure, PETG need drying for high quality prints. After PETG sits out for a few weeks the prints can become stringy and delaminate. Drying fixes the issue.

Another key trick: clean the print plate with dish detergent every time. Oils from fingerprints will eventually interfere with adhesion and you will end up with a stringy mess. Hand soap does not work for cleaning as it has additives, similar to lotions in it. Just use Dawn diswashing liquid and a clean Skotch Brite sponge/scrubber. Dry with a paper towel.

Which dryer do you have? I haven't had a need for one yet but I would like to build the best prints I can.

I do a quick spray of 90% isopropyl after every print and wipe it with a clean microfiber.
