Yeah ok, a failed play on words. Misspelled and bassackwards. ;)

Depends on where you live.
Subheading
Depends on lifestyle.

Yep! I watched a documentary about Sardinia last week. It showed enough about the food only to see they aren’t eating processed convenience food. What it did show were people over 90 years old still working or otherwise living with purpose. There was a 91 years old woman taking food she made to people much younger living in the nursing home. The documentary didn’t tell me what to think. I got the point.

Life expectancy depends on many factors and very importantly how wealthy you are. Those demographic figures clearly show that lowest life expectancy is in the poorest countries. In Britain, better-off people live longer and I'm pretty sure that will be the same most places.

The point about Sardinia is of course diet and lifestyle - it appears that the Mediterranean diet, low on animal fat, high on olive oil, fish, vegetables and fruit helps to sustain good health into old age.

Well, in the grand scheme of things I’m very wealthy. I have access to good medical care, good food and endless amounts of information. Most people in this world have none of that. My wealth does afford me some control. I can’t go back and undo my past, but I believe I can improve my future. I did do a whole lot of stacking the cards against myself. I’m trying not to do that anymore.

I don’t want a pickle…..

Well this is a hell of a thread.
Jim, I'm sorry to hear about your vertigo and I hope you can get some rides in really soon.
I'll be 60 in July. I still work full time and ride at least 4 days a week from about March to November, if I'm able. House projects and doing stuff with my wife who doesn't ride sometimes takes priority. I am very blessed to be able to do this but who knows how long I or any of us can ride. That's why I bit the bullet and bought a new bike, fingers crossed the high tech is ok for years to come. I'm planning to take more vacation and ride more, plus do more stuff with my wife and grown sons. I've already started this plan this year.

I could have liked every comment already written on this thread. I'm thankful for this community and hopeful for all of you guys to get out and ride if you can, and if you cannot, enjoy whatever else it is you're up to.
