For Sale:

Custom aluminum motor mount kit for the 1974 and up XS650!

I’ve been selling these for several years to XS fans and builders and they’ve ended up all over the world...

Simple and waaaay cooler then the fugly steel factory mounts, the set consists of front and rear sets, 8 pieces total - 4 mounts and 4 spacer spools.
Made from 3/8” 6061 alloy, CNC laser cut.
I do the hard work- sourcing the material and the machine work, and then it’s your choice:
You finish your way, they come to you with a sandblasted finish - they could be brushed with a wire wheel, disc sanded, painted or wet sanded and buffed to a mirror like shine!!

You buy the mounting hardware, because hey, I don’t know what you want to use..
The holes will fit SAE 3/8” or 10mm bolts.
They fit perfectly, and were scanned from the factory steel mounts.
And If you wanted you could have the spools welded to the plates, too.

Would be a nice finishing touch for that custom XS650!!

Sorry but there’s really not enough demand for the early model front mounts, but I think the rear would work on your bike - does anyone out there know if the rears are the same for all years??

There's a difference 'tween the 70-71 and 72-73 mount, the front engine hole moved 6mm back. I think their mount is for the 72 73
I pointed out the difference to them with two mounts overlaid but they were indifferent to the problem....

And all this is why mine are for 1974 and up...

Until now I didn’t realize that there are actually 3 different styles...

You can't beet the sharp look of the alloy part's , and you could always anodize them too match the colour of your bike or use it as a hi light .
