I've had a whole slew of old cars, 73 Dart, 74 Duster, 66 New Yorker, 64 Rambler American, 74 Courier, 70 Chevelle, 69 C10, 70 C10, 37 Ford PU, 76 F150, 64 F100, A few V8ed S10's, Cosworth Vega Wagon with a SBC400. I don't currently have anything but bikes sadly.
1976 Bronco - Can't take it out without someone trying to buy it.
1965 Mustang - SEFI equipped hot rod. Was my daily driver for 11 years
1967 Triumph GT6 - Current project
1979 Jeep CJ5 - Son's HS ride
1985 Ranger - Daughter's HS ride now farm truck

What is an SBC400?
SBC = Small Block Chevy.

400CI Small Block Chevy, the biggest of the SBC's. And yes it would destroy a set set of tires pretty quick.
My old buddy from the 70’s had a ‘68 GTO with a small block 400, that was a really sweet car. And fast.

The Chevy 400 and Pontiac 400 essentially share no parts. That's not to say that it couldn't have been a Chevy 400 in the Pontiac, but the Pontiac 400 could have been the original engine in it. There was a time period where people were yanking every GM brand engine and slapping in Chevy stuff just because parts for the Buick/Olds/Pontiac/Cadillac engines and transmissions were far more difficult to find and expensive to buy.
400 Chevy used to be really unloved because the blocks aren't nearly as robust as the smaller versions but people figured them out and started building monster 406ci versions. The small block Chevy thing is funny though in that Chevy claim the modern engines are still small block Chevy based, which would make the 400 not the largest with the 427ci LS/LT stuff being bigger. I don't consider anything after the start of the LS production to be the same as a traditional small block though.

I've seen some 500+ inch SBCs.
In our stock car we had a 383. 350 with a 400 crank.
Funny part about the SBC engine is Chevy nor GM designed it.
The first ones had no oil filter and FORD (gasp) part numbers on them.
Speaking of Chevy cars, I owned about 5 Corvairs over about 15 years - sold my rust free '63 Monza coupe in 2002 and that was the end of that. Interesting that I now own two air-cooled motorbikes.

A bunch over the years... Studebaker was my first car... 59' Lark.... 40' Commander, 55' Bel-Air, with Wonder Bar radio ! .. 66' Nova 2dht, 67' Nova, 66' Tempest , OHV 6cyl 4bbl, 4 speed, 68' Camaro rag top, and others. Recently sold our 65' Mustang and 04' Mustang rag top, neither were being used enough to warrant the cost of insurance. Had a Midget... fun fun fun car... expect don't get on the freeway... down right scary.. truckers can't see it.... but getting in and out of.. Midget... Aaaargh..... it was a reluctant sale. So we got a Pontiac Solstice ,,, great car... unlike the midget all the dials

Found this one wrecked and abandoned in the early 90's and did a frame-off myself except for paint and the last bit of bodywork before the black was sprayed on. My ex absolutely hated it because of the time and money not spent with her. Still have the car....

Ah, yes, the Midget! Yes, getting in, you put your feet on the floor, then sit on the ground. I loved that car. A real British sportscar. The pic below is basically like the one I had, except mine had plastic sliding side windows.
