I know this may sound silly, but my original 75 seat is in mint condition and I'd like to do anything and everything in my power to both super clean it and preserve it.

What say the brain trust out there, any preferred products?

Assuming vinyl cover if leather it is different
Adam should be the expert on this
There are Products for Rubber Plastic details on cars One brand Here Tershine
Putting it on a rag and wipe makes it look brand new shiny .and that is for faded surfaces
When it comes to long time effect no one knows.

I think I also have one bottle Turtle Brand

Again dont know the long term effects .But i got the tip from a Friend and Went to a autoshop
Not the cheapest one And one that does also repair cars .They are a bit more expensive but have better quality products.

As new afterwards .but since your is as new already it can be different .

There are Vinyl Cleaners Out there I have a bottle .. Dont think I would use them in your case Have a feeling of
Snake Oil I would use soap water or milder household chemicals --as washing up liquid in water

I like this a lot. VLR means vinyl, leather, rubber. Not greasy on vinyl like Armor All.
Every time I handle a rubber bit I either use this or silicone lubricant or both. It cleans old rubber and makes it look black again.

I read on some old Honda forums to use mineral oil, which is basically baby oil.

I rubbed that in to a Survivor 1970 Honda CT70 that I have and it looked ok for a while (albeit very wet looking) but once eventually evaporated it still looked old and dingy. So that was kind of a bust in my opinion.

Anything that will help preserve long term without causing harm would be ideal.
