Really interesting.
I'm currently out of action, recovering from a broken/dislocated ancle. I seem to have been breaking this ancle regularly (four times!) over the past 50 years. It's amazing how long the recovery process is taking this time round.
Six months on I'm just starting to feel happy operating the pedals in my car and driving. I can't drive my motorhome because the pedals are too heavy. I would not feel at all confident manoeuvring my bike around, so it's sat in my garage.
Because I was incapacitated for 9 weeks all my muscles and joints seem to have suffered. Little jobs now seem to be major projects.
I think I'm trying to say is use it or loose it. It doesn't get any easier.
