You may recall me pissing and moaning about the mileage I was getting with the 'Vette. "A shade under 16"

Um...about that...I was reading "Gallons", not MPG. I'd just put 15.96 gallons in it. I had just started record-keeping on my phone for the Vette (I have an app that I use for all my vehicles) and it didn't have a baseline to calculate MPG from.

I filled up again today and it got 22.2 MPG on that tankful. Pretty much exactly what the car was telling me.

Doh.

What year ?
1990

Have to pick someone up at the airport today. Perfect weather, 70° and wall-to-wall sunshine. REALLY want to take the Vette.

However, luggage...
The first ('79) and the current (2005) both have plenty of luggage space -- the 05's a hatchback, even. No issues there. In between, though, there was a mid 90s convertible. Even with the top UP we couldn't get more than a day bag and a cell phone shoehorned in that one. Still a blast to drive, but I has STUFF.

Jonesin' for a ride in the Vette, as well. Can't get in ours post surgery just yet. Well, OK, I could get IN. Pretty sure I can't get back OUT.
And now she's in the shop to fix the front spoiler bracket something. That plasticy thing that sticks down right behind the front bumper, where a skid plate would be? There's a missing bracket that needs aluminum welded, and no one close would touch it. Took her to Keystone Corvettes in the middle of nowhere, PA. With the '79 we always used Baer's Corvettes near PA's Lake Pimatuning. Great place, but they cut off at C3s, I think. Great ride up there, and I finally got to drive again.

Yup, C4. I'd like to upgrade to a C5 as they're a little easier to get in and out of, plus a little more power. Doubt it will happen, but I'll keep an eye out.

Criteria are:

1. Somebody that wants a low mileage C4
2. The C5 needs to be reasonable mileage - 50,000 or less would be nice.
3. Manual trans mandatory
4. Ragtop would be nice

No more convertibles here. Love the look, love the feel, have STUFF. Totally amazed at how much STUFF there's room for in the c6's fliptop rear end (hatchback -- SOO much luggage area for a pretty).. Can't travel anywhere without the laptop backpack and a go-bag, minimum. Try stuffing any of the into our middle Vette, to 90s version. She was shiny. But my shoulder bag barely fit with the roof down. Hell, I barely fit in her at the time.
