Here's mine. It will never be 'done', but this is how it looked last summer just after finding it in a barn where it was a donor bike for 20 years, and then as of a couple months ago.

Here's my '79 Special
It sat for 30 years in the above condition. Then I found it and put it into it's current condition over the span of the last two year. Loving this bike!

Allways like to see great before and after pics. Great for inspiration.

vsop-dk, that's VERY nice. Dunno that my wrinkled old ass could deal with the skateboard seat, but otherwise perfect.

Particularly like the paint!

Thanks Downeaster, yes paint job is a nice one. ;) trust me the seat is comfy enough, just not when the road are bumpy and I live where the roads are a mess, so I'll seek elsewhere riding when it's out.

Dunno if it will ever be "done" - I'm always getting new ideas, mostly from this forum, but it's come a long way from the unmolested '82 Heritage Special I bought in April 2010 to the "café roadster" look today (I'm just too old to bend over a set of clip-ons required to be a "racer").

One thing that really comes through in these pic's is that the "ugly duckling" Special sure makes a great platform for the different "looks" in the "afters".
