Bike wash?

What do you guys use to clean your bikes? I normally have the dealership give my Triumph a wash when she goes in for service but I want to giver her a bath when she's not in for service.

Was thinking of getting some of this.

"Truck wash" here in Aus. Never wash in the sunlight and to get grime off, do a suds wash in the evening, just wash over, wipe it on, leave overnight then do a good wash and scrub with a sponge in the morning with a rinse. Gets grime and even small tar spots off with a nice shine.

I am cheap, a 5 litre container will last for years.

Don't use products containing bleach. Bleach, very bad for enamels and finishes in general.

The object is to not let any areas dry before hard hosing followed by a soft flooding rinse. Towel dry makes a huge difference.

S100, intended to be used with a dollar store spray nozzle.

I always used Autoglym Products for cleaning, polishing and detailing cars and bikes.
Now I use Triumph products ‘cos I work for Triumph; and it’s free! Tidy as we say in Wales.

It’s Triumph branded stuff, but looks like Muc-Off content. I’ll post some pics on Monday; if I remember as England are playing Mexico in the World footie Monday morning and kick off is 1:00am FFS! If it goes to penalties it will end at 4:00am!!

I don't wash motorcycles. And some of the worst late model bikes I've bought were from "wash'r weekly" kind of guys.
Dry dust then a spritz bottle of detail wax with frequent microfiber towel changes. Greasy parts get mineral spirits also in spritzer bottle and the towels gradually head towards doing the dirtier parts before they switch to lawnmower, tractor duty..

Whatever you decide to use for soap, after it's rinsed off take a blow gun and shop air to it. You'll be amazed at how many places water can hide (and pool) on a bike. A good blow job dry goes a long way toward fending off corrosion.

... and re-lube all your grease points to force out any water ingress.
