Current project is front braking. Does anyone know a good quality source for these hoses? Mike's does not offer them.

My PO bought a caliper and master from Mike's but left the 50yr.old hoses.
All that rust on the paper towel came out of the lines and junction block, incidentally. Even after a thorough flush of fluid prior to disassembly.

Any pro tips on bleeding these? I had some air trapped somewhere inside that wouldn't bleed out normally.

If shipping costs aren't prohibitive, maybe these:

Or you could just go for braided hoses, like HEL (they allow you to configure length, colour, fittings etc.), if you don't mind a modern touch.

My buddy just removed brake hoses from his front wheel and will be upgrading them to custom thin BYO brake lines.
They are from a different model but still Yamaha. I can send you pictures and measurements if interested. LMK here or via PM.

I have been giving some thought to building my own. But not on the hose ends. I want them hydraulicly crimped/ pressed on, not like an AN fitting or similar.
I found some banjo fittings with threaded male ends, so maybe a compatible female threaded hose. Still looking for the best source for all those parts. Would be interested in a link, thanks Lou!

I buy them from Dennis Kirk.
You can either get a whole kit or buy only the parts that you need. The hose is crimped directly onto the fittings and tightened and cannot be removed or replaced. It is forever.
