I have just realised that I've not put this part where it's meant to go - having already reassembled my engine as a first timer. What is it and what does it do? Feeling depressed at having to pull cam chain and top apart again.:wtf:

Thanks heaps! That's what it is - I couldn't find it in my manual either - only picked it up when I was looking back at the photos I took when pulling it all down. Much appreciated, and now dismantling top end again to put the 'oil mister' where it's supposed to go. Hoping I will be able to slip the cam chain off by pulling the bearings off the cam shaft instead of having to break the chain again as I don't have another joiner. Slug.

Don’t forget to remove the cam chain tensioner; the cam won’t budge with it in place. Just speaking from about a half hours’ worth of frustration.
