I recall during the peak of Covid there were literally acres of cars at dealerships waiting for parts. Some had already been sitting for 6 months or more. All of a sudden, a carbureted vehicle with points looks pretty attractive!Mailman that would so fit into your neighborhood!

You could have just used a piece of welding cable. Bigger issue is why did it blow?

Well you couldnāt have come out here at a nicer time of year, our weather is perfect right now! 
Donāt know where you are or your intended route but if you can find an excuse to travel through Moab, UT you should do it. Then rent a 4x4 and go exploring. That should be on every gear heads bucket list. Been there, done that 3X already and still want to go back again.
