Hello everybody.
Recently i started collecting parts for the "service"/light overhaul i planned for next winter.
So i was wondering if any of you has any experience with the Cam Chain Tensioner Guide and Cam Chain Guide's from the different vendors regarding quality/lifetime.

Her is some i found surfing the web:

All innput are welcome.

Nothing against Heiden I would go with Yambits Yamaha parts.
I like the fact that Yamaha is again making the Cam Chain Tensioner along with the cam chain guide. Both should last a long time

The 2 Yambits links you posted I'm sure are Yamaha made

This hinged tensioner guide is the one that the tensioner mechanism presses against to keep the cam chain correctly tensioned. Now unavailable from Yamaha these are an exclusive to Yambits part. The guide is supplied complete with fixings and suits:
XS650 1975-1984
It does not say Yamaha on the guide but I would ask Yambits to make sure
But this one from boats.net is a Yamaha part

The rear tensioner usually doesn't need replacing. The front guide, on the other hand, nearly always does. The quality on the repros isn't really good. I would suggest getting an original Yamaha one. Yes, they cost more, but they are definitely better.
