I marked tdc with a marker looking at the pistons. However when I put the rotor on my marks line up more around f mark than on t mark. Is this normal? I should set my cam chain sprocket to line up with the t mark right? The f mark is just for points right? I'm just a little confused about my mark not lining up with the t mark. Did I totally mark wrong or what. I got everything ready to master link on the t mark when it comes in mail or I would look in plug holes to see. I looked in manual and only saw stuff about points timing so I'm posting to check my sanity. Maybe the t mark is just to set it realietive to cam mark and not really true tdc? I was confused on size of head bolts being 10mm when their shaft only measures 8mm but the threads are bigger so IV been confused once before. Anyone notice that about the head bolts and case bolts feeling thinner than specs.

Nice read. I think reading to put the cam covers on before tighting head is going to be greatly useful. Plus I see how you tided the chain. A few images were broken for me maybe the main ones I wanted to see didn't load. I'm halfway there. I might need to compress head with pvc and washers to get cam bearings on again like I saw somewhere on here. Thanks

Got it to work. How about gasket sealer around the middle bolts? I don't see any on there. Do you not coat there? Thx
