Can Someone Explain Ignition System on 1982 XS650 Special?

Yes Yes My bad
Sorry about that I was wrong No wire to ground from the Coil
But from TCI Thank you Jim..

Please check if the electronic Igniter looks like that

3 rd from left or 2 d from left
Is there a black wire
If so measure the resistance from the Igniter black wire to the minus on the battery ignition off
That black shall have a good connection. Between igniter and Minus on battery..

But sort out the caps and spark plugs first.

the ground at the box and ground at battery Mach th
So I did give this a check too since you mentioned, the resistance from ground at box to ground at battery is about 0.9 ohms, i checked the other grounds to compare they also are around 0.9 ohm

So at the moment it is the spark plugs and caps ... prime suspects.
Upside and Downside TCI appears right.
Are the spark plug wires replaceable ..The caps are so those are out
if possible I would replace the wires also.
Again with a little copper grease to ensure connection
