this is probably insanely stupid, but is there a gasket to replace when cleaning the carb? i'm planning on cleaning mine soon along with a top end rebuild and am making sure what i need to get. also, does anyone have a good starting point for rejetting when there's no muffler and pod filters on the carbs?

As long as your taking them apart I would just get rebuild kits.As far as jetting goes when u say no mufflers and pods I assume your running some sort of drag pipe or just headers, I would start at 135 or 140

- for the outside, diesel fuel, a toothbrush and compressed air
- for the inside,eg pilot jets...an aerosol can of carb cleaner, compressed air
- an ultrasound bath if you have access to one

new question, same thread... lost a damn friggin' choke plunger springs and can't seem to find any (sold seperately) on mikes xs. or really anywhere else for that matter... anyone have dimensions on them? i'm hoping i can get them from mcmaster or lowes or something.
