Carb needle

I have 1978 bs38
Uni pod
Open taper mufflers
Just cleaning my carbs out since I haven't riden in a while I currently have
140 main
30 pilot
Z-2 needle
Stock needle as far as I can tell..but looking on niche cycle for a same needle size z-2 but can't find it. I seen another post with 5twins using one from xs400 with a little more off the line throttle response..but can't find that needle either..where can I get these needles???

The Z-2 isn't the needle, it's the needle jet. The needle should be a 5O2.

Yes my fault..I went on niche and searched 502 but didn't show. I'll take a look again..also how did that xs400 needle work out?

I quite like them and have spare '78-'79 carb sets with them in on both my bikes at the moment. The first set I scrounged out of my dealer's boneyard and the second set I found on eBay. You can get repops in the XS400 carb kits from CruzinImage.

Sounds good...I checked ebay and found 2 nos xs650 needles..didn't think of looking there
