Carburetor joint (holder) for XS2

It appears that I have an intake air leak on my XS2. Since I can see tiny cracks in my rubber holder, I feel pretty sure that I need to replace it. I checked every site I could find online and could not find it anywhere. According to Yamaha it's no longer available. The original part number is 256-13565-00-00. So, I'm wondering if there is another holder that will interchange with it, or another part that can be modified to work? OR, is there something that I can treat my originals with that would help them seal up. I doubt that I'm the first person to be faced with this. I just don't know the best fix.

I emailed an order to JBM Friday morning. When I didn't get a confirmation or reply of any kind, I searched for them online. I found a phone # and called it. I got a message that said their voice mailbox had never been set up. One place on the internet stated that they were permanently closed. I hope that's not true, because they make some nice looking products with good reviews. It says that it is a one man company, so who knows. I'll try again tomorrow.

Yes, that's exactly what I did. I read their site thoroughly, and sent them the email as you said. I just did that Friday, so I'm probably just not being patient enough. Maybe I'll get the paypal invoice tomorrow. THANKS

I still haven't heard back from jbm industries after emailing my order to them last week. Im just curious, did it take you a long time to receive your paypal invoice after placing your order with them?

Mine arrived from JBM today. These are for a 75 so they are different than ones used on a 72. Very nice quality.
