I actually saw 2 different postings about her, one was quite extensive. She had a pretty illustrious career.

It's ok Raymond. Shannon Doherty, one of the cast of 90210 back in the 90's
Sadly, a 9 year battle with cancer took her at age 53. I'm extra sympathetic as I lost my daughter to cancer.

Raymond, I needed to read up before I commented further. I seemed to remember at the time there was always turmoil surrounding her, problems on set and with other cast members, hard partying etc.. Familiar stories related to young celebs that suddenly make it to some level of success with little adult guidance.
By her own account some of the bad rep was deserved, but she seemed to mature with adulthood. I never really paid much attention as her work was aimed at a younger generation than mine.
A lovely young woman all the same.
