I got some mid controls going. Brackets from monster craftsman for 30 plus shipping. 3/8 fine thread bolts and washers 5.00 and Amazon pegs for 8.50. I got some fold up pegs too but didn't use them because thought they might turn upside down on me or twist since there's just one bolt. I thought about epoxying them on but just going with static pegs.
Here's a pic of my roller. So far had to grind off the rear brake pivot because it was too small for stock Yamaha brake shaft. Don't know what kinda break people I got it were using. Just cut a new brake pivot 1 inch pipe at 1.75 inches long. Then some thick plate to go under it since there's already a plate welded on it will go on top of that. The middle of hole measured 5.5 inches from middle of back exhaust mount hole. Next I got to take bike into dad's shop to get it welded.

I have a set of those from the mid 2000s on a project that went stagnant. I thought maybe they didn't make them anymore but checked out their website and was happy to see that they are still in business. I wish "The Horse" still was in print

Seems like this was cheapest route for controls as I priced forward controls at 380 after all the linkage and pivot.
Monster craftsman sell chain tensioners too. I might need one but that's down the road. They sent me some wild stickers. Ones space like with American patch on sleeve, part I like and then this cute little monster with a bloody chainsaw.

Got the brake pivot pipe welded and spring holder welded thanks to my dad but it's ruff welds cleaned up with a drimel. I got the engine in the frame. had to use a car jack to separate the bottom bolt spacing a 1/16 of an inch wider. It fought me good until I realized it was too tight. Then one hole on my middle back bracket was a mm out of line so had to drill it out a little. Haven't done top mounts yet. I was stressed about getting it all to fit since I got it without seeing an engine in it and someone else welded the hardtail. I'm happy now it's in. Kinda dejavu since I put the engine in a softail frame recently but got a title for the chopper frame so reason for switch. It was way easier on the first frame. It's almost good that I did it twice once easy to know that I needed to widen up the second time when it fought hard. It's a bike fight for me alright.
