Got a few questions before i apply the sealant and close the halves

1. Where do i get the plug that blocks off the oil gallery from the top housing to the bottom? Would have just left it in there if i knew at the time…

2. What is the proper position for the circlip that goes on the drive axle/gear? My x 650 engine manual (Hans Paul) has it in a slightly different location than the one that i found on the forum, Does it really matter?

3. Lastly does everyone usually replace the neutral spring and shifter spring on rebuild? Or only if you had symptoms like trouble finding neutral while engine is hot and slipping out of gear?

No, it doesn't matter.

Unless there's an obvious problem, no, I don't.

I like to replace springs ..Possibly to often .. Not knowing which ones these are mentioned here.
Once in there i feel the cost for new in relation to do it over again .Makes me sleep better if replace
Valve Springs Clutch springs and smaller springs if available at not so high cost.
If it is the springs for gear shifting these can be reached later should problems come
On other machinery I have worked on a sloppy spring or a fresh new one can make a big difference.
Not heard of problems here besides Advance unit springs
Depends on Mileage also .
