Clutch cable broke:|

Yes, the Motion Pro is the replacement cable of choice. You can usually find them on Amazon for a good price. The cable that MikesXS sells has a skinnier inner wire core and doesn't last long. It's been reported to break in as little as a couple hundred miles. The original from Yamaha is now also using this skinnier wire core, so I can't recommend that one either.

Also, be sure to oil the new cable before installing it, they come almost dry. Hang it and dribble motor oil in the end a few drops at a time, until it starts coming out the bottom .....

You need to remove the leftside engine cover. Be careful with the gasket. It is there to keep the internals clean and has no oil inside except a build up of chain gunk. The clutch actuator inside is connected to the cable. Easy replacement. Good time to clean and lube the actuator. Remove the fuel tank and reroute the cable to get the least bends with the biggest loops (radii). Often that mean running the cable along the right side of the frame. Cheers
