Hi Guys,

Need some help. I purchased the following coil from MikeXS and didn't realize it didn't have the caps connected so my first question is what type of cap do I need, can I purchase it from Amazon for quick and easy delivery as I'm in Canada or through Mike XS. Here is the coil, for my 83 xs650 chopper build.

Coil - Ignition - 4.5 Ohm - Dual Output - Single Coil - CB750 - XS650

SKU: 17-6822

My other question is the wiring doesn't state positive or negative. The one wire is black/white and the other blue. Which is positive which is negative or does it matter?

Thanks Jim appreciate the insight. So would I need resistor caps? The current caps are a TD-134 and my spark plugs are NGK BR 7ES. I am running a Pamco with a PMA and a battery.

Hi Guys, ok so looks like we are right down to the last bit of electrical. I wanted to bounce hopefully one last question. I am afraid of frying the electronic ignition if I don't wire the coil correctly.

Question is as follows. I have the two wires as per picture wired up however the third red wire which should be power? how is this wired or where is it wired to? Thanks guys.

I have a PMA as well along with running a battery set up. I can kick and electric start it.

Feed switched power to the unconnected red wire. Also, if you're running resistor plugs then you want non-resistor plug caps (zero ohm). You want/need resistance in the plug wire but only one instance of it. That can be the plug or the plug cap (not both).
