Generally no but I did have one that pulled after welding. Welding is generally not needed on a street motor.
Once the centre bend was identified I made a tool to straddle the cam chain sprocket and allow the centre to be pressed straight.
The problem was identified by the outer bearings moving when the crank was rotated in the case half for trueing.
Actually have a similar thing going on with a crank being trued at the moment, although other events have caused this to be on the back burner for a while.
