Crankcase bearing replacement

See how bearing is apart in middle. I don't think that's normal. Just did a split and it was like this. Do I need a 20 ton press to put on new bearing or what. I think I saw some video of a guy doing a bratstyle on YouTube and he used a press to do something. So far I'm lost.

I looked online and saw one for sale with bearing sleeve off too. I guess line it up with the dowel pins. So I guess its ok.
 
Yes you are correct. The outer often slides off when the crank is removed from the cases and is held on end .
In service the dowels in the case hold the outer in position.
