Dead Cylinder to not starting

I’ve lost a ton of power now. The bike runs but revs really high in all gears and won’t go faster than 40mph. Is this a timing issue or a valve issue? I haven’t touched anything besides valves so I’m not sure what else it could be. Any thoughts? Thank you all once again!

Clutch is slipping!
If the engine is revving and the bike is not accellerating your clutch adjustment is off.
Someone back at post 2 or 3 fell down on the job and forgot to remind you that we like pics of the bike.

Go through the clutch adjust ment procedure starting at the very beginning. Check the tech section or use the search function. It is in the Clymer manual and very easy to do. Start with your clutch cable adjuster completely eased. Good luck.

I’ll send some pictures over! It sounds really nasty still… I’m certain the valves are set right… the only thing Is maybe one of the exhaust valves might be a little too tight but I highly doubt it because a .006 feeler gauge fits in there and has a decent amount of drag on it. I set my intake valves at .004 since .003 didn’t sound good and feel good while riding. When I set them yesterday the bike ran perfect. Then I woke up and went to ride it to work today and couldn’t go over 40mph 5th gear again. I haven’t touched anything on the bike other than valves… but when I rode it this morning it did not sounds good at all. I could hear the valves and the exhaust noise, for lack of a better word, sounded like SHIT. I’ll look into the clutch slipping but wanted to provide background first!😅
