Disconnecting fuse stalls engine

Just a thought (I am by no means smart when it comes to electrical), the shorai lithium I put into my cafe bike required a modern reg/rec (mosfet?) as the OEM equipment apparently does not play nicely. Could this be a factor?

Doubtful. I've been using these batteries for ~ 15 years. But I appreciate the input.
