Exactly, I'm saying I am disappointed. I was hoping you would engage with information which would either change my opinion or your own. Seriously.

You see, I don't think I'm better than you if I'm correct in some assertion, nor do I think you're better than me because you are. I'm here for the discussion, the learning, and the information.

I have no emotional stake in either the factualness of your information or my own.

To be brutally honest, your mind is made up. See, there's a wealth of "real" information out there. Fact and figures given by "real" climate scientists. It's all there, yet too many people choose to ignore....

Here's the deal... A climate scientist is a real scientist, submitting real studies and conclusions for peer review. 4 to 8 yrs of academia, Years spent studying other scientist's work.... peer review. Billions spent in the studies. Scientific outposts in the poles... manned and used 'round the clock. Annual get togethers where they share and learn from each other... around the world, not just in America. One of the best scientific endeavors and 97% agreement.

On the end we have any Joe Smoe with a Youtube account and a camera. Keyboard warriors on Facebook and mathematicians who were actually crackpots. We have the whos who of "science deniers." People who absolutely hate that science might actually be good for us.

What's missing from that second column is actual climate scientist's .... the people who actually do the hard work. The "men in the arena" if you will.

Earlier I said I'd read the entire 2024 report from the IPCC. Have you? You said you wanted "information which would either change my opinion or your own.." Well there's a good start instead of memes from 24yrs ago. The truth is out there... and easy to access. Just google "2024 IPCC Report.

Until you've actually read some of the science behind this, and not just bullshit from anyone with a camera and a keyboard, your "information which would either change my opinion or your own" statement carries no weight at all. If you haven't studied both sides, you're just being contrarian. Kinda hard to prove a point when you haven't even looked at one side of it, eh?

I'm fully aware of the talking points behind the climate deniers, as are you. If you'll read the other side of this, the scientific side, then we can have a serious discussion.

If you haven't heard of People who are born neither male or female, (intersex), where the the foetus develops with a range so wide between what is defined male or female, then here is an example of one biological male who was born looking like a female with all female parts but when she didn't have her period by the age of 16 knew she was different.

Got an ultrasound done, found testicles where her uterus should be.

She is classed a biological male because her testes produce a normal amount of tostesterone. Has a vagina, she had to stretch the canal to be able to have penetrative sex with a male.

I know all about CAIS, and other androgen insensitivity conditions. But the existence of an abnormal androgen response does not nullify the concept of male and female.

In all androgen insensitivity cases, it is a lack of response to male hormones which creates a female body despite the presence of an XY chromosome. In the case of CAIS, even the brain is female, as is the body, save for an underdeveloped vagina, the lack of a uterus, and the presence of testicles where a woman's ovaries should be.

That is a very different thing from a man, with facial hair, properly developed testes, male skeletal structure, etc., claiming he was born in the wrong body. It is on the same level as the woman who knew she was supposed to be blind, or any of those who believe they are handicapped in fully functional bodies.

And you know it was the latter I was referring to when I posted the Ketanji Brown Jackson quote.
