Deep sea floor mining.........Ruined above ground now they want to destroy the oceans completly. This will greate more toxins, (mercury as one), that will get into the food chain and ultimately us, humans, and what will be the long term afects on marine life. Death at worst......possibly affect reproduction and that will help push species to extinction ...........as we kill the animals around us we are killing ourselves..........This is literally, as scientists and globalists are now prepared to admit and be on record

We don't understand how things work...........Yet

"About a third of the carbon dioxide generated on land is absorbed by underwater organisms, including one species that was just discovered in the CCZ in 2018. [The Clarion-Clipperton Zone, located between Hawaii and Mexico, is 1.7 million square miles of prime underwater real estate for mining that is also teaming with life.] The researchers who found that bacterium have no idea how it removes carbon from the environment, but their findings show that it may account for up to 10 percent of the volume that is sequestered by oceans every year."

I read through the thread but not all the links. I agree that humans are our own worst enemy and it is from many different directions. Take the US EPA for example. I did 21 years in the US Navy. On my last tour of duty at NAS Fallon, NV, I was a weapons instructor amongst of things. Upon arrival, previously, the group would clean their weapons in the desert with MEK and dump the stuff onto the ground when finished. But recently, the chief had made arrangements to use the motor pool's three bay garage for weapons cleaning and they had a parts washer with a less dangerous solvent that works with our weapons. And, it had shade from the hot summer sun and a heater for the winter. However, the motor pool received several hundred T-72 tanks from some country in the Middle East that no longer needed them and the mechanics are now tasked with removing all DNA from inside of the machines and rigging them to be remote controlled for moving targets. They kicked us out.

No worries, we had $25K left over at the end of this FY and we bought a 12X20' wooden garage and had it brought in to be our work area. Public works leveled the ground, hooked up electricity, installed the exhaust fan in the top eve and a heater. The fire Marshall made us add a second door saying the one big garage door is not adequate for a work space; oh, okay then.

We bought our own parts washer and two 55 Gallon barrels of a new solvent the Army is using that is made from oranges. As a matter of fact, this stuff is so good for the environment, you can drink it with no side effects. Completely healthy until it is contaminated with bad stuff. And, since our parts washer has a filter to collect not only bigger particles, but also absorbs certain contaminates, we assumed we were doing the right thing. That is until the new EPA agent, fresh out of UC Berkley came to inspect us.

This is her first assignment after being hired by the EPA. Since I was in charge of putting all this together, I was there for her inspection. She looked around the outside and commented on how well public works had completed the install. Then she goes inside and I hand her a copy of the MSDS for the orange solvent. She had never heard of such and was concerned that it was not on the base's list. I assured her the Army uses it and as the sheet says, it is not HazMat as it sits. She looked at the filter for the washer and then turned to me and said, "You are going to clean weapons in here? When are you going to cover the floor and walls in metal?" I said never, no need too. She then told me that lead would be absorbed into the wood thereby contaminating the entire room and therefore humans cannot be there. I said we use full metal jacket rounds so there is no lead contamination present in the cleaning process. She then went on a triad of how dangerous lead poisoning is. I told her that is exactly why we inject it into our enemies when we kill them. Well that crack didn't make her happy and she said I am not taking this seriously enough. She then went on to say that we cannot use the new solvent to clean weapons even with the special filter because that will create HazMat (in this case spent carbon residue and some copper from the jacketed rounds). I explained to her that the old way was MEK and then dumped onto the ground, surely she did not think our new setup is worse than that. This is all we have to use now that we can no longer use the motor pool. She you cannot use this building or that solvent.

She left in a huff disapproving our use of the garage for weapons cleaning. I told my boss what had happened to include my smart-elec remark figuring she would use the chain of command to blast me. Not only did she do that, but she tried to get our firing ranges shut down after this. She had asked me where we shoot these weapons that require cleaning and why do we shoot so much. I told her each weapons instructor class shoots 35K rounds in an 8 week course. She said that is way too many bullets, no one shoot shoot that much in a life time. She was upset that the rounds go into the desert and that we do not pick them up when we are finish.

My commander went to our Admiral and it took a two-star to explain to the EPA woman that the USN is part of a thing called the military and that we must train with real weapons and ammunition. (She had told me at the first meeting we should be using blanks for training, less danger to the environment).

In the end, the EPA won, we could not use the wooden garage for weapons cleaning and we ended up going back to the tail gate of a pickup with MEK in an ammo can to clean the weapons. And yes, it was dumped on the ground because that is the way the EPA wanted it.

Extract from the link above...........The Carmichael Mine, through mining taxes and royalties, will generate billions of dollars for government in its first 30 years of operation. This money will help to build new schools, hospitals and roads for Queensland

As of 2 weeks ago, the Queensland govt has deferred royalties for this mine....The details have been kept secret but they have assured the public that Adani will pay the full amount, including what has been deferred, in the future.....

lol.. with adani track record it will be doultfull they will pay the deferred payments, as well as their record for polution is a outstanding one as a ex miner normally in favour of mining but not for this mob .. sorry getting near the rules so will now stop

Um the earth has gotten warm enough to melt the Greenland ice sheet multiple times "in the last million years" Guess human history is older than we think?
Over population is the underlying problem of all the issues you cite.

Depends on if your prepared to accept the stats in the first link........Just think about it when you eat your next steak, or spare ribs, and how it is affecting pollution, poor farming practices that is leading to global warming and poor land utilization, that would be more productive without meat

You won't guilt me there. That story is wrong. I'm not even going down that rabbit hole.

Speaking of Greenland and its cyclical melt offs, this mornings video from SuspiciousObservors
There's a link to show air pollution on a parts per million world wide too. China and India are the biggest contributors.
Overpopulation? It's been said that the entire U.S. population could be housed in an area the size of Texas. Puts an interesting view on things.
"Sacrifice today for a better tomorrow" is a tyrants mantra.

Speaking of overpopulation, who put up the Georgia Guidestones with their secular Ten Commandments which calls for a limited world population of 5 hundred million? Who decides who stays and who goes?
"Sacrifice today for a better tomorrow." said the tyrant feigning altruism.
Humans are inheritantly corrupt and work for their own self interest.
Beware of centralized power (top down) that tries to convince the masses that altruism is in their best interest, altruism is best left to the individual to decide (bottom up).

Before moving to the hills I asked my childhood friend who had preceded me by twenty years what the locals thought of transplants from New Jersey. His reply was that you may as well be from Mars as the locals had no concept of New Jerseyans. "As long as you're not from Ohio or Kentucky (neighboring states) you'll be fine, just don't do anything stupid." When asked about the tolerance of the locals to eccentricity he replied "Your eccentricity ends at your property line."
Methinks Greta and her ilk are quite eccentric.

I ate some hamburger the other night, is that now a political issue?
