Hard to believe about 45 years ago to the day I purchased my third XS650 at that time.An XS650 hard raced Flat-Tracker. I was an avid Hillclimber.Sold my 750 h2 climber to buy it. I painted, stretched and reworked this motorcycle over abit.First competition ride of a different kind for the bike with me mounted was at Saddleback Park in Orange,California.Placed 4th out of 19 big bore riders. I was quite impressed with the bike.Bought a house and married at 22 thus the competition ended in 83.I sold the bike long ago but have the cancelled check and tank and seat pan on the wall.Priceless memories.

Something about buying a project motorcycle in early January when you’re young:You just gotta have it.Re;Going through stacks of pictures and priceless “notes on a knapkin,a tool, an old oil can, etc.from my folks’ days. It’s residual and an unquestionable pattern.
