Single seat electric three wheel car,
I had a very rare car sighting this morning. I was out for a walk with my wife , when this rather egg shaped, small , single passenger vehicle went gliding by me, very silently. I had to go home and scour the internet to see if I could figure out what it was. It turns out that I saw an Electrameccanica Solo ( the prototype no less! ) This was a start up company from British Columbia, who began production in Canada, then moved it to China, then moved production once again to Mesa Arizona. Almost all of the cars that were built in China ( which was most of them ) suffered catastrophic failures, which led to the cars being discontinued. Elctrameccanica even went so far as to buy them back. The first cars that were made in Canada did not suffer from the same failures which explains why I saw one of the early prototypes still running around. The later models, after the prototypes, looked more car like from the front end. It turns out that there is a junk yard in Mesa Az, that has a great big pile of them , waiting to be scrapped.
