EX500 CVK Carbs on a 750 big bore

Hi fellas, is anyone running EX500 CVK carbs on a 750 80mm big bore kit with a shell #1 cam? If so do you have the needle and jet combo that worked as a good starting point? I have the 140 and 40 jets with JJJ needles in bags here according to the swap thread, but after some thought I realized everyone in the thread was using this combo on a stock engine. Any input would be greatly appreciated as I don’t want to have to spend a lot of money on jets and needles to find a good combo. Thanks!

I can't answer directly. On my stock 650 motor CVK34 carbs with 38 PJ, 138 MJ, JJJ needles runs really well. I expect what you have isn't going to be far off the mark. I'd certainly give it a try.

I have a similar motor configuration except using a Web 59a cam. Which is almost the same as a Shell #1 .
I am using the same needles and jets as you have.
I did find the info in the earlier pages of the thread .
They may not be perfect for your bike but it will be close.
