I’ve been buying stuff from 650 Central since it belonged to the one known as Uncle Johnny (RIP). If memory serves, that goes back to before there was a Mike’s XS. Today, you get a bonus when you buy parts there. First, you have to call on a telephone like in the old days. You get to talk to Michael “Mercury” Morse. There might be someone who knows more about XS650 performance, but I doubt you’ll find him. I learn something new every time I talk to him. His resume is on the site.
I bought another Tsubaki peanut chain as recommended by @grizld1. The price is a bargain. I got a few other engine parts as well. I made my order on Wednesday night and USPS dropped them on my door on Saturday morning.
Those in the hobby a long time know all about 650 Central. I thought I should post this for the newbies. Yeah, he’s let the website go without updates, and sometimes doesn’t answer the phone. He’s also not the cheapest, but he’s a jewel in our community.
