Good Morning, My XS2 saw the open road for the first time in 43 years yesterday afternoon. (She had been up and down my street once or twice). It was only a two mile trip but my route took me from back roads to being able to open her up on about a mile long stretch. I'd like to think I went through her as well as i could. Between this forum, youtube and a shop manual that the pages fall out of. She ran well, charging, stopping, carbs seem good, nothing rattling or tapping. Oh, and an Illinois plate that expired in 1982, Sporting a brand new pair of Dunlop K70s. ( thanks to my woman). The bike is definitely not lacking any power. All I have left are turn signals this winter and Someone here sent me a link for everything i need (thank you). NOW WHAT???? LOL

Pics would be awesome! Always love seeing these classics brought back to life. Did you keep it mostly original or make any modern upgrades?
Hi, the bike is original, i was fortunate on this project and the only things that were missing were a gas cap, fuel petcocks. the front brakes were a disaster but i save master and caliper. I know Ive got to get some photos up here. My favorite photo is the day she rolled of my work van. As far as another project? as of last week, there's a rusty 1980 Yamaha sr250 in the garage. As of now, all I've done is power was the racoon crap off of it and unstuck the piston. LOL.
