Flat tracker type tyres

I’m also in Uk 🇬🇧, all jets available from Allen’s performance midlands, I’m sure I have the part numbers for the jets I used somewhere in my garage 👍
I have 138 mains, shimmed the stock needle 0.5mm and 35 pilot jets. I was going to buy 38 pilots until I realised the difference in hole size is only 0.0012" on the diameter. I will give it a go. I have stock mufflers. I intend the get the Ramair foam filters but need to measure up when I finally fit the carbs. Life is in the way presently. Thank you.

Might try the shinko 705 tires, they are 80/20 tires. They have good road manners and give the dirt tire look without giving bad handling or short life. View attachment 339505
I have the Shinko 705's on an otherwise near-stock XS650 D. They work well for me; trackerish look, good road manners on stock rims.

What about Heidenau K34?
4.00x18 or 4.00x19 rear and 3.25 or 3.50x19 front. "Back in the day" when the XS was used in flat track, fairly narrow tires were used.

Yeah, nothing on mine is stock. It's on 17" rims, but I've run 705s on 3 different bikes now with no complaints. They did well on the tiger 800, the drz400sm and the xs. It helps that they are affordable compared to some tires.

While most true flat track tires are not street approved (DOT here in the US) Dunlop does offer the K180 which is, and is built in 19" sizes using the Dunlop DT3 tread pattern
If you choose to go with true track tires for the street you'll probably want to go with the hard compound to get much durability for street riding. Other makers are Shinko, Mitas, Maxxis, Hoozier
