Can someone please confirm the correct hose size for the float overflow barbs. BS38. Seems whatever I get is too large or two small. Many thanks for this relatively simple question. Rainy here blah. T.
I do not have the size info, but most likely it is metric. For example 3.0 mm. Hose is commonly sold in imperial sizes, and 1/8" would be a little bit bigger, approx. 3.2 mm. That may be the cause of your problems.

if you can't find the correct size hose try heating the next smallest size hose with a hot air gun and shoving it into place while it's still warm and floppy.
And be happy it's raining, rain runs away by itself.
