Anyone ever break off a foot peg stud? I did today. How does everyone fix this? I figure I will need to drill and tap the peg and insert a stud. I should of run a tape over the stud first..

Ouch. Is the fracture rusty? Was it waiting to let go?

I do not think so. I broke it trying to get the nut off.

This raises questions. The pegs rid on castings. I often think about using those stuff to mount pegs back 6 or so inches.

I would drill and tap it to something like 6mm, chamfer all the way around the union and TIG weld it all the way around.

I just drilled and taped the stud with 10mm tap. Cut off a stud the right length. Looks like it should work great.
