Any recommendations as to preferred sources for the subject parts? I have very sloppy peg mount bushings that allow the peg to droop to a ridiculous angle and would like to correct this without resorting to hard mounts. Foot pegs are needed as well, as I got the bike with billet pegs that are a little out of character with the rest of the bike.

Did you need just the peg itself, or the entire assy that bolts to the frame? I think I can help either way...

Far as rubbers, about all I can offer is avoid the MikesXS ones. I've no personal experience, but I've read here multiple times that they wear out pretty quick... like a season or two of riding.

I have the experience. OE for peg covers and vibration dampers. Anything else is a waste of time and money.

Jim and Jet,

Thanks for the input

Thanks for the offer Jim. I have the assembly or peg arm that bolts to the frame and I'm pretty sure that I have spare pegs, but would like new rubber throughout. Looking for a source with acceptable product.

Marty, where can you get OE rubber parts?
You can still get the OEM front peg rubbers. They're pretty spendy, but that's what I used on my resto. They're good rubbers and if you factor in they'll prolly last for your lifetime, the cost ain't that bad... jus' sayin'...

Watch eBay. Even good used ones are better than the re-pops. I recently scored a couple N.O.S. XS1100 footpeg assemblies for $11 each. I don't have an 1100 but the footpeg and rubber is the same.

In keeping with the theme,
What's the trick to getting the footpeg rubbers off their metal core without tearing them up?
Drop it in boiling water for about a minute or three. Rubber turns into silly putty. Comes off just that slick...
