Hello and greetings XS 650 enthusiasts,
would like to hardtail my XS 650…
but I do not want to hardtail it the conventional way with a hardtail kit reason being I do not want the 3-inch stretch, and I wanted to use as much of the original bike frame and parts as possible…
Im my mind:
1. Aesthetically it loooks better (in my opinion)…
2. Structurally, the hardtial would be stonger…
3. its more convenient as to where you don’t have to worry about repositioning many of the stock parts/piecies…
so I would like the frame to look like the example provided, keeping the (sub tube) center/middle part here… the questions how to do so…
you know how the swing arm is slightly narrower the the frame itself???
Does the end of the swing arm (the axle) flare out to be the same width as the frame?
Because then it will not be an issue… or will the hardtail have to be tappered in to meet the rear axle so to speak?
