any ideas on painting or freshening old switch blocks , have a few that still work well but definitly weather worn and cosmetically challenged

I take 'em apart, bead blast 'em and paint with VHT paint. 200° in the oven for an hour and looks good as new.
Google Diablo Cycle for the switch decals. They're inexpensive and very good quality.

thanks jim .. by vht i take it you mean very high temp paint , just double checking as different countries use different terms and will give diablo a try .. edit .. have bought the decal , your right even with the conversion rate and shipping definitly worth while au 16 bucks

VHT is a brand name. It's about the best rattle can stuff I've ever run across.
It's even available in your part of the world.

yep now looks familar ,havnt used it but might give it a go , none of any of the heat proof paints have used over the yrs have been much good so worth a try

Just my opinion, but VHT is my go to for all my rattlecan needs.
...except primers.... Rust-oleum rules the primer nest.
