Hello again,

I bought a new brake switch for the front brake handlebar which doesn't work properly. It doesn't "activate" the tail brakelight while hitting the brake handlebar, unless the handlebar is pushed all the way in or actually even more than possible. Anyone else had this problem? Any tip on where to get good ones?

Unless a) you want to maintain a degree of originality and b) you don't get what you have sorted consider a hydraulic switch as an alternative.
I’d try to find a decent quality hydraulic switch. My two Chinesium switches didn’t last long, especially the one I bought on Amazon. Trouble is they all look the same. The Amazon switch was less than $15. I looked at “brand name” switches that cost over $50 and they looked the same. Perhaps the brand name pieces will have some warranty?

Indeed, you can buy Brembo and other big name branded ones. They're probably made in China as well. But clearly not all Chinese brake light switches are created to the same quality. Like much of modern life, I suppose.

I just had the same issue with mine. I took it apart, and found on my unit, the wipers that make contact inside the unit are at least slightly adjustable. I loosened the little screw on the side where the wire enters the unit and is crimped to the contact, and was able to slide the contact in or out a bit (the hole in the contact is an oval, so it seems to have been designed to move a bit). I moved the one on the front side out as far as it would go, and the rear side in as far as it would go, then tightened the screws back down. That got me to where just pulling the lever in a small amount activated the brake light. Not sure if all the units are the same, but you might try it.
