Been burned often enough that nothing from a project gets binned til it's all back together and working.
Many times a cleaned up original part went back into service when some "exact replacement part" wasn't.
then again I have a 40x60 shed full of useless motorcycle parts.

very fine paper then a buffing wheel to round the pit edges if the rust pits are minor has worked for me more than once.

That's what I was hoping to hear. I'll get some new seals and give them the old pistons a try. Thanks
