Hey guys. I'm looking to overhaul my front brakes. Looking At replacing my master cylinder, hoses, pad, and rotor.

This is the rotor I'm looking at getting : Rotor

For pads, what do you all recommend? The bike is going to be daily ridden and also ridden on weekends.

Brake lines. Is there a standard Stainless steel line kit? or are these gonna have to be built? If so, what length and fittings will i need?

Lastly, master cylinder. I see people talking about an 11mm one. Is there a solid go to for these bikes, or are we just talking one off ebay?

I appreciate the advice.

Stainless lines are all over eBay and cheap. You can usually get one for around $10 or less. The ends are standard 10mm banjos and you'll want at least one end to have a slight angle bend in it. This end is for the bottom where it mounts to the caliper and helps it clear the bleed nipple ......

The top fitting can be straight or angled, doesn't matter, either will work. The length you need will depend on what bars you run. I run lower than stock Euro bend bars and a 90cm line length (about 35.4") fits perfectly ......

For replacement MC's, I shop eBay for used Yamaha ones. They are very high quality and can be had quite cheap if you're patient. Being from another Yamaha, they will usually accept your brake lever and brake light switch, and they also have the reverse thread mirror mount. An 11mm size was used on many of the XT/TTR 225's but being from a dirt bike, many are pretty beat up, lol. That's why I said you need to be patient. The several I've picked up I managed to get for $20 or less. They should be clearly stamped with an "11", and make sure the window is good ......
